The five drawers have cane-inset fronts, and there’s a removable/interchangeable writing surface and pencil tray that can be used in either the right or left top drawer. Each of the top side drawers has two removable partitions. The center drawer has a drop-front writing surface and wire management. Two locking file drawers have a Pendaflex letter/legal filing system.

MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces.
